Complete change after sterilisation with Potassium Permanganate. Now fresh rainwater.

Top growth from creeping jenny and other trimmed and replanted.] Floating plants thinned. Some algal growth seen on some plants. not spirogyra type, branching.

Rain water containing mosquito larvae. Fertiliser added full strength of 10ml. Algae removed from plant cutting. Some fine pale grey algae on ergia densa

Tubes cleaned - brush in filter box in loft. Filter untouched - vaseline put on joints

real thinning of water wisteria and eloeda densa not kh seems to be very high suddenly! it is either 20 or 6 resisting fertiliser today as algae seems to have increased in top layer . Water top up may be necessary soon
